Mina Ahmad is a Pakistani-Canadian filmmaker, film festival programmer, creative producer, photographer, and writer building a multihyphenate creative career. With experience in documentary filmmaking and multimedia journalism, her debut narrative short Daagh (Stained) is her foray into fiction, to be released in 2026. When she’s not developing her next screenplay or storyboarding, Mina curates independent cinema for festivals and shares her cinematic perspectives through her film review column Commuter Critic.
Mina has worked at the Toronto International Film Festival, Forest City Film Festival, and the Western Gazette. She graduated with gold medals from Western University's Media, Information, and Technoculture (MIT) and Film Studies programs.
